چکیده
Intrabony defects can be treated by various approaches. Use of GTR along with bone grafts is said to enhance the outcome. The periosteum has been claimed increase regeneration. egg-shell-derived nano hydroxyapatite (EnHA) shown a scope as alloplastic graft. Thus, following study was undertaken combine periosteal pedicle EnHA for treatment intrabony under magnification achieve optimal A total 21 patients, having ≥6 mm probing depth (PD) and two or three wall detected on CBCT, satisfying inclusion criteria were enrolled. sites randomly allocated Group A, B C (n = 7). parameters, defect density fill in CBCT (at baseline 6 months), PPD, RAL, Plaque index (PI), Gingival (GI) Bleeding Index (GBI) recorded at baseline, 1, 3 months. p < 0.05 considered statistically significant. Bone values found much higher alone group showed significant results. current clinical research that stand-alone therapy gave superior results compared OFD alone, which an innovative feasible option.

متن کاملclinical and radiographic evaluation of nano-crystalline hydroxyapatite bone graft (sybograf®) in combination with bioresorbable collagen membrane (periocol®) in periodontal intrabony defects
background: nanosized ceramics may represent a promising class of bone graft substitutes due to their improved osseointegrative properties. nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (ncha) bind to bone and stimulate bone healing by stimulation of osteoblast activity. the present study aims to explore the clinical and radiographical outcome of ncha bonegraft (sybograf®) with collagen membrane (periocol®), ...
متن کاملGuided bone regeneration in long-bone defects with a structural hydroxyapatite graft and collagen membrane.
There are few synthetic graft alternatives to treat large long-bone defects resulting from trauma or disease that do not incorporate osteogenic or osteoinductive factors. The aim of this study was to test the additional benefit of including a permeable collagen membrane guide in conjunction with a preformed porous hydroxyapatite bone graft to serve as an improved osteoconductive scaffold for bo...
متن کاملEggshell derived hydroxyapatite as bone graft substitute in the healing of maxillary cystic bone defects: a preliminary report.
BACKGROUND Since ancient times, use of graft materials to promote healing of defects of bone is wellknown. Traditionally, missing bone is replaced with material from either patient or donor. Multiple sources of bone grafts have been used to graft bone defects to stimulate bone healing. Hydroxyapatite is naturally occurring mineral component of bone, which is osteoconductive. This versatile biom...
